Vintage extendable table by H.w. Klein for Bramin, Denmark

Beautiful 1x extendable dining room table from the Danish furniture factory Bramin. The name refers to the place where the factory was, Braming in Jutland, Denmark. Bramin produced furniture in the higher and exclusive segment. They mostly produced (solid) wooden furniture in rosewood, oak or teak. This table with its flamed rosewood colored top and beautiful wide edge is in a very neat vintage condition, be sure to take a look at the side and the corners, where the organic shapes predominate and thus testify to a very great craftsmanship. This table is attributed to top designer H.W. Klein who worked full-time for Bramin. Originally from Norway, Klein, who has a background as a mathematician and linguist, discovered during his career in the navy that his passion lay in furniture design. In 1949 he started an education at the Frederikberg Tekniske Skole in Denmark and then moved to that country in the early 1950s. His teacher was designer Finn Juhl. Klein's work is characterized by clean lines and a perfect balance, the use of materials is fantastic. His work has been produced by Bramin and only a handful of other high end manufacturers, so it has always remained very exclusive. This table is in a neat vintage condition, the traces of use can be called normal, we can classify this under traces of use that are appropriate to the age and purpose of the furniture. We have tried to show this well in the photos. In general we can speak of a neat table, where the intermediate leaf has some color difference because it was stored for decades and is less exposed to sunlight. This intermediate sheet is very attractive and convenient to store under the large sheet, so it is always at hand. Also good to mention is the fact that the legs of this table are very easy to unscrew, so you can easily transport the table and also place it in smaller homes or homes with a narrow staircase. The table has already been provided with a hard wax oil treatment in the past and is therefore protected against various influences.
