About this vintage design furniture
Dutch design wall lamp by Niek Hiemstra for Hiemstra Evolux. It is nicknamed the “telescope” wall lamp, the lamp has a telescopic adjustable arm, hence the name. It is mounted to the wall and can bebe raised and lowered in height on the rail which is attached to the wall and it can swivel. A well designed piece with its soft red shade and black frame with nickel plated metal details.

About the designer
Niek Hiemstra
Niek Hiemstra is a Dutch designer born in 1960. He studied product design at the Groningen Academy of Fine Arts in the Netherlands, graduating in 1984. After working for a few years as a freelance designer, Hiemstra joined the Gispen product design company in 1988.
