Stoneware jug vase designed by Gunnar Nylund for Rörstrand. Handmade in Sweden during the 1940s. Matt blue speckled grey glaze with slight touch of green. Hand signed with the initials of ceramist. First line of production in excellent condition.

About the designer
Gunnar NYLUND
Gunnar Nylund (1904-1997) was a Swedish designer known for his contributions to the Scandinavian ceramics industry. Born in Paris, Nylund spent his childhood in France and studied sculpture at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In 1925, he returned to Sweden and began working in the ceramics industry in Upsala-Ekeby.
