About this vintage design furniture
Vintage modernist. René MATHIEU (Lunel, 1955), Polished brass arm and double lampshade made of metal, orientable lampshades mounted on ball 360, red lacquered classic paint, white bakelite interior on the base. In good original condition and functioning. Slight traces of use that make its beautiful patina. it has been cleaned and checked, ready to pose.

About the designer
René MATHIEU
René Mathieu was a French designer born in Nancy in 1905 and died in 1969. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Nancy before moving to Paris to work as a theater decorator. He also worked for Galeries Lafayette, where he was responsible for creating window displays and exhibition stands.
