About this vintage design furniture
Set of two ‘Pelican’ lounge chairs designed by Louis van Teeffelen for Wébé (Netherlands). The frame of the chairs exists entirely of ‘afro teak’ (Afrormosia). The chairs have been reupholstered a few years back in a off-whiteblack ‘pied de poule’ fabric. The chairs are in a very good condition with only minor signs of use.

About the designer
Louis VAN TEEFFELEN
Wim Rietveld Van Teeffelen, better known as Louis van Teeffelen, was a Dutch designer who was born in 1921 and died in 1972. He studied at the Rotterdam Academy of Fine Arts and began his career as a furniture designer in the 1950s.
