About this vintage design furniture

French fireplace backrest with Napoleon, from the early 19th century. Cast iron fireback with an image of Napoleon being helped from his wounds by the surgeon Yvan on April 23, 1809. This is after a work by Pierre Gautherot (1765-1825), painted in 1810. It has a crack at the bottom but is still very decorative. Can be used, for example, behind the stove as a splash screen. 20kg Reference : 306652
