About this vintage design furniture
This wood and brass marquetry bar chest is a unique piece by Michel Lefèvre, made in the late 1960s. The main structure is made of solid wood with angular shapes. Its veneer, which gives rise to multiple abstract forms, is made of rare wood species: rosewood, vinhatico, coralwood, amaranth, ebony and walnut. The chest features two levels for glasses on the front, and a large compartment on the back for flasks, all covered in polished brass. This piece has been restored, the wood veneer entirely re-varnished with a buffer and the brass repolished, and is in perfect condition.
