About this vintage design furniture
Travertine desk by Claude Berrladacci in the 90s.
This desk was produced in 5 copies, 2 of which were acquired by Pierre Cardin for the Palais Bulles.
The stone is the purest available in travertine. It comes from the Tivoli quarry near Rome, where the Vatican and Colosseum are quarried. Travertine from this region is very pure, with a very light color. The stone is worked with great skill, resulting in a "softened travertine": natural, matte and soft to the touch. This work enhances the mineral texture and unique color.
