Vintage brass and chrome brown parchment desk by Aldo Tura, Italy 1960

Superb desk in brown parchment with brass and chrome structure, designed by Aldo Tura in Milan, Italy, in the late 1960s. Characteristic of Aldo Tura's work, parchment is a dyed and lacquered goatskin that gives its nuances of color, here from glazed brown to brown, and this absolutely superb piqué. It features a large top with four belted drawers with brass handles, resting on a sturdy and highly decorative brass and chrome structure. This desk has been fully restored, relacquered and polished, and is in superb condition. A truly timeless and decorative piece in the pure Mid-Century Italian glamour of the 60's and 70's.
