About this vintage design furniture
This beautiful 'Globe D-2000' floor lamp was designed by Frank Ligtelijn for Raak Amsterdam in the late 1950's. It has a smoked glass globe, (no chips) with an aluminum reflector and lamp holder, standing on a chromed metal adjustable rod and cast iron tripod base. This model lamp was also made as a table lamp, pendant lamp, chandelier and wall lamp. This lamp adjusts from 48" to 68" in height.

About the designer
Frank LIGTELIJN
Frank Ligtelijn (1943-2017) was a Dutch industrial designer known for his work in office equipment and consumer electronics. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague before working for Philips Design from 1967.
