Vintage Tulip oval table in cast aluminum and marble by Eero Saarinen for Knoll International, 1957

Eero Saarinen's tulip table is an elegant and modern table that adds a touch of class to the interior. Designed in 1957, this iconic table has an organic and airy shape that frees up the space underneath. The table rests on a single base of cast aluminium. The top is made of beautiful marble Statuarietto, covered with a transparent polyester coating to prevent staining. The marble has a fine grain and a white background with grey veins, which make this table unique. This is an old 1960s version of Tulip table by Eero Saarinen so it does not yet have the stamp in the base. The table does have all the original features. Such as the correct mounting plate for attaching the marble top. as well as the correct dimensions and thickness of the top. Has some minor signs of use. Reference : 298754
