About this vintage design furniture

Set of 2 beige Sahco Zero The Tired Man armchairs by Lassen. Flemming Lassen designed The Stanco upholstered armchair in 1935 for the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild competition. It features organic, bear-like forms, and caused a sensation then as now with its curved shape and voluminous armrests. According to Flemming Lassen, sitting in this armchair should give a feeling of "warmth and security, like a polar bear cub in its mother's arms in the middle of the ice cap". Reference : 297490
