Vintage industrial metal and formica desk by Wim Rietveld for Ahrend De Cirkel, Netherlands 1950

Vintage Midcentury Dutch Industrial Design Desk by Wim Rietveld and Friso Kramer for Ahrend De Cirkel. Made in the Netherlands, late 1950's, early 1960's. A RARE and hard to find design desk. Probably used in a school, hence the signs on the underside of the desk top and the front of the drawer. Metal constructed base with fold out formica top. This is a model with the original drawer. Design in the style of Jean Prouvé. The desk comes in good original condition, with signs of it's age and use. De red, now pink band surrounding the table top has discolored and with minor defects. Measures 78cm x 120cm x 62cm (90cm folded open). Reference : 296961
