Vintage travertine coffee table by Claude Berraldacci, 1990

Travertine coffee table. A rectangular top with rounded edges and a sculptural travertine base. All in one piece. This table comes directly from designer Claude Berraldacci. They were designed in the 90s. The brand was called "La Pierre Haute Couture". The stone is the purest available in travertine. It comes from the Tivoli quarry near Rome, from which the Vatican buildings, the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain are extracted. Travertine from this region is very pure, with a very light color. The stone is worked with great skill, resulting in a "softened travertine": natural, matte and soft to the touch. This work enhances the mineral texture and unique color. Reference : 295838
