About this vintage design furniture
A fantastic set of Fireside chairs by Charles Dudouyt in sculpted oak and wicker.
The set is in typical Dudouyt fashion with the conical-shaped feet, going all the way up in one piece and carved in a knot on top. The oak frame has overall carved ornaments in the frame, accentuating the basic shapes. The armrests have a curved shape. The wicker seat really complements the overall look.
The chairs are extremely well constructed in solid heavy oak and have been built by hand back in the days.
One of the seats has been refinished in new wicker, while the other one remains original. Therefore there is a slight color difference in the wicker. Some general discolouration and wear visible.
