About this vintage design furniture
Beautiful large mid-century modern glass vase designed by one of the pioneers of Swedish glass Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta (Sweden, 1950s). The vase features a black and purple linear design encased in thick transparent glass. Quite heavy (1.5 kg). A beautiful example of Scandinavian minimalist design. The vase is extremely decorative. Signed at bottom "Kosta LH 1388".
Height: 28 cm; width (widest point): 7 cm; depth (widest point): 5 cm. Very good vintage condition.

Vicke Lindstrand was a Swedish designer and artist born on June 17, 1904 in Malmö, Sweden, and died on October 7, 1983 in Kosta, Sweden. He is best known for his work as a glass designer for the Swedish company Orrefors.
