Iconic candlestick from the Ikora line designed by Kurt Radtke for WMF in 1961. Kurt Radtke is the successor and student of one of the Bauhaus gurus, Wilhelm Wagenfeld, the objects he designed are characterized by universality, simplicity and elegance. A two-armed candlestick made of silver-plated brass, additionally brushed. The Ixora flower, known as the "jungle flame", was the source of the name and inspiration for a whole range of unique items that WMF designers created from the late 1920s to the mid 1970s. Candlestick signed with an embossed signature. Item is in good condition with a few scratches to the silver plating. Two copies available.
