About this vintage design furniture
The Malayer gallery rug is a type of Persian carpet named after the town of Malayer, located in the province of Hamadan in Iran. These rugs are handmade by local craftsmen, renowned for their expertise and mastery of traditional techniques. Woven from high-quality wool for exceptional durability and strength, this remarkably long rug in rich, vivid colors is composed of repetitions of stylized floral motifs. The high level of detail testifies to the skill of the weavers. The field features a veritable anthology of herati motifs, stylized flowers and leafy palmettes, enhanced by geometrically patterned borders. Made from natural dyes, the different shades of color give it a charm like no other.
