About this vintage design furniture

Very rare suite of four Space Age chairs by Etienne Fermigier for Mobilier National. Small French production from the 60s. The chairs are very comfortable and have a unique design. Curved, chromed and welded legs. Thermo-bent beechwood shell, connected by a chromed metal disk (which makes all the difference). Covered in original coral-colored veined imitation leather. The four chairs are in very good overall condition, with traces of age here and there. Note two small tears (8m and 6mm) on the upholstery of two seats. The Sofolk brand offers a range of products that make it possible to repair this type of material in an amazing wayHeight: 74cmWidth: 47 cmDepth: 54 cmPS: They were around a table with a glass top on a central chromed tulip foot, the whole was very successful.Etienne Fermigier ((1932-1973). After training at the Ecole Boulle, he graduated top of his class from the Ecole Nationale des Arts Décoratifs de Paris in 1954. In 1957, he set up his own design office and devoted himself to fitting out private apartments, as well as creating industrial objects (ashtrays, radios, telephones, televisions for téléavia, etc.) and furniture. In particular, he collaborates with Disderot, which publishes some of his lighting fixtures, such as the F6 lamp. On the furniture side, he worked with some of the leading editors of the day: Steiner, Airborne, Minvielle, Sentou, Roset... Together with Pierre Perriguault, they created Meubles et Fonction, on boulevard Raspail in Paris. Fermigier's F170 lamp and Actual armchair are among the iconic models of French design.
