About this vintage design furniture

This Berber community comes from the Middle Atlas. For the record, the Middle Atlas is a relatively sparsely populated mountain range in central Morocco, whose economy is based on sheep farming (sheep, rams and ewes) and agriculture. To protect themselves from the bitter cold of the Moroccan Atlas mountains, the Beni Ouarain (also known as Aït Ouaraïn) tribes, who live in traditional tents, had to find solutions to protect themselves from the cold. That's how this Moroccan carpet came into being - a multi-purpose warm carpet. Originally, the beni ouarain carpet wasn't just used as a rug; it was also used to protect against the cold by insulating tents, and as a sleeping mat. Made from 100% natural sheep's wool, the beni ouarain rug is not only warm but also very comfortable. Reference : 287753
