About this vintage design furniture
Globe Floor Lamp designed by Frank Ligtelijn for RAAK, circa 1960. A smoked glass globe containing a light metal reflector on a chromed stand. This floor lamp is height adjustable from 1.25 m to 1.75 m. The (globe) sphere can rotate on its axis in all directions and provides direct or indirect light. Given its age, this vintage floor lamp is still in very good and original condition. The wiring has been checked by an electrician. Dimensions: h x w x diameter (bulb) = 125 x 27 x 24 cm. Material: iron chromed and glass. Color: black, chrome and brown. Source: catalog Raak catalog 5, page 162.

About the designer
Frank LIGTELIJN
Frank Ligtelijn (1943-2017) was a Dutch industrial designer known for his work in office equipment and consumer electronics. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague before working for Philips Design from 1967.
