About this vintage design furniture
This SB02 dining chair or side chair was designed in 1952 by Cees Braakman and manufactured in the Netherlands by UMS Pastoe. When Braakman designed these chairs, he was clearly inspired by the works of Charles and Ray Eames, having been on a recce to the US to learn about new methods in bent plywood. They are made from birch plywood with a teak veneer seat and back.
