About this vintage design furniture
Pair of armchairs designed by Robert and Roger Thibier in 1978. Régine model. A pair between luxury and design, characteristic of the Thibier brothers' work. Brushed brass base and polished brass frame. Thick beige wool fabric, very comfortable seat. Set (with 3-seater sofa) sold for 35400 francs in 1979 (18,000 euros today). Bibliography from 1978 art décoration magazine supplied with the sale.

About the designer
Robert THIBIER
Robert Thibier was a French designer and decorator who was born in La Rochelle in 1932 and died in Paris in 2008. He began his career in the 1950s, working for the famous designer Pierre Paulin. He then opened his own design and decoration studio in 1960.
