About this vintage design furniture
Leather armchair designed by Karin Mobring for IKEA, Sweden 1970. The chair is made of chromed tubular steel and thick natural saddle leather. The Amiral chair has a timeless design language which dates from the 1970s, yet modern at the same time and works well with all types of interiors. The trend for Scandinavian design, coupled with a growing interest in vintage IKEA furniture has created a renewed interest in Karin Mobrings work. Classics such as the original Amiral chair in leather from 1970 have become highly sought after on the vintage market.
The chair has a good seating comfort and is in good condition consistent with age. The leather has a nice patina, some discoloration on the backrest.
