Vintage armchair by Kho Liang Ie for Stabin-Bennis, 1960s

Black Kho Liang Ie chair designed for Stabin-Bennis, Woerden in 1968. Kho Liang Ie continued to search for new techniques and materials. For this armchair from the Stabin program, he used a new upholstery technique in which the filling and upholstery are welded together and then pulled over the wooden seat shell as a flexible unit. It resulted in this chair with a clear line. The condition is still good with original imitation leather upholstery. There are no holes or tears in the upholstery, there is a small bump on the corner (see photo). Material: chromed metal, wood and imitation leather (skai).
