About this vintage design furniture

Sei sedie da pranzo disegnate da Umberto Mascagni di Bologna negli anni '50. La struttura del corpo principale è in legno massello europeo, rivestita in vinile venato color crema e alluminio anodizzato. Anche le gambe sono rivestite in vinile nero. Lievi segni del tempo come da foto. Questi stravaganti sedie sono un interessante esempio di design italiano della metà del secolo. Nel 1952 Umberto Mascagni crea un nuovo modo di produrre mobili utilizzando nuovi materiali come il PVC e l'alluminio anodizzato. Ciò era provocatorio considerando il mercato in quel momento. Umberto MASCAGNI

Umberto Mascagni is an Italian designer born in 1948 in Viareggio, Tuscany. He graduated from the Florence Academy of Fine Arts in 1972, where he studied sculpture and painting. After graduating, he worked as an industrial designer for several Italian companies.
