About this vintage design furniture

A rare pair of Portex armchairs designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen and produced by Fritz Hansen around 1940. New upholstery, frame made of beech. About the designer

Peter HVIDT & Orla MOLGAARD NIELSEN

Hvidt & Mølgaard Nielsen is a mid-20th-century Danish design duo consisting of Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen. Peter Hvidt was born in Copenhagen in 1916 and studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts before working as a designer for various companies. Orla Mølgaard Nielsen was born in Copenhagen in 1907 and also studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, before working as an architect and designer.
