Danish Mid-Century Modern Stoneware by Søholm, Denmark 1960s. Set of 17. A large collection of gorgeous Danish vintage ceramic from Soholm. This set consists of: - 3 Wall mounted candleholders, no 3351. - 1 Small round candleholder. - 1 Large square dish, no 3333. - 2 Square vases, no 3322. - 1 Large round bowl, no 3345. - 2 Square ashtrays, no 3335. - 1 Oblong dish, no 3332. - 2 Small square bowls, no 3337. - 1 Round vase, no 3323. - 1 Vase/mug, no 3343. - 1 Small round table lamp, no 3323-L - 1 Small square table lamp, no 3322-L All items are designed by Einar Johansen, and all but one are stamped. Manufactured on the small Danish island of Bornholm, which is famous for its stoneware, due to the rich amount of clay in the underground. All items with the rich signature blue glaze, which Søholm is famous for. Very good vintage condition. No chips or cracks. Reference : 260315

Einar JOHANSEN

Einar Hoffmann Johansen (1905-1992) was a Norwegian industrial designer. He is best known for his work in the 1950s and 1960s for the Norum company, where he designed numerous products, including televisions and radios.
