About this vintage design furniture

Sofa Terrazza "DS-1025" by Ubald Klug for the Swiss firm De Sede. It was produced in 1973, this period corresponds to the beginning of Ubald Klug as an interior architect and designer, he proposed this project to the firm who accepted under one condition, that it is in leather. For this model, the designer drew his inspiration directly from the mountainous reliefs of the Alps, shaped by the passage of cows in its regions, forming long plateaus following one another on different floors. This piece was criticized by the critics at the beginning, but knew by its atypical design to create a place among the icons of the design. It is still produced to this day.Its structure consists of an assembly of 7 foam filled cushions of different widths and depths upholstered in brown leather, all mounted on a plywood structure with a rectangular base. The leather and structure are original. In very good condition, patina consistent with age and use.
