About this vintage design furniture
This gorgeous French 1940s neoclassical brass drinks trolley in the style of Maison Jansén is a great way of displaying your gin collection, and will give your dinner party a real touch of glamour!
The trolley is beautifully made, it has two generous clear glass shelves, decorative finials and four wheels for stability. In very good vintage condition with some age-related patina to the brass, with no chips to the glass. It has been gently cleaned and polished, although it is missing its bottle holder on the lower tier.
The tea trolley reigned supreme in the late 19th century – that was until the trolley fell off the wagon and the cocktail cart was born, popularised in the 1920s Jazz Age. It became a feature in Post War decorative interiors and a staple of middle-class homes throughout the 1970s. Today, with staying in becoming the new going out, nothing says party time like a drinks trolley!
