About this vintage design furniture
'Papillona' floor lamp, designed in the 1970's by Tobia Scarpa for FLOS, Italy. It has an enamelled aluminium body lacquered in black and red, and a prismatic glass diffusor. The little wheel in the middle of the rod provides a dimming function. When lit, the lamp presents beautiful upwards light with a sharp horizontal edge.
It remains in good original vintage condition with little traces of wear.

About the designer
Carlo SCARPA
Carlo Scarpa was an Italian architect and designer, born on June 2, 1906 in Venice and died on November 28, 1978 in Sendai, Japan. He studied architecture at the Venice Academy of Fine Arts and began his career as a designer for the Venini artistic glassworks.
