Danish Mid-Century Modern Rosewood Desk by Valdemar Mortensen, 1960s. High end freestanding executive Rosewood desk by Danish master carpenter Valdemar Mortensen from Odense, Denmark. Table top with arched trim and book matched veneer. Front with six drawers, two with lock. Above drawers are open shelf. Open back with bookcase and cabinet. Cabinet has drop down door with lock. Rounded tapered legs with flared top in solid Rosewood. Very beautiful and expressive Rosewood veneer. Very impressive quality and craftsmanship. Two original keys are included. Stamped underneath: Vald. Mortensen. Odense - Denmark. Extremely good original condition. Has always been well maintained and have only been cleaned and polished. Only few light marks and scratches to table top. It has maintained its dark and rich color. Reference : 240844
