Vintage anthropomorphic ceramic with black enamel, 1960
About this vintage design furniture
Anthropomorphic ceramic featuring a woman's face. Black enamel with metallic sheen. French work of the 60s signed Vism in hollow under the base (see photos and zoom). Nice condition. Very rare and very discreet traces of common use. Formerly used as an ashtray, this ceramic has a pestle with traces of common use at the points of contact (see photos and zoom). Concerning the face only, note the very slight wounds on the left cheekbone and a tiny jump of enamel at the bottom on the reverse side (see photos and zoom in). The drumstick is 9 cm long. The total height of the face alone is 11 cm and the maximum length from the end of the cap to the end of the chin is 13 cm.
