About this vintage design furniture

A PK 31 two seater sofa designed by Poul Kjaerholm for Ejvind Kold Christensen, Denmark 1958. Beautiful two-seater sofa in original black leather and matte chrome steel. Poul Kjaerholm's use of industrial methods and materials brought a fresh, graceful new style to Danish modern design in the 1960s. The PK31 model is characteristic of Poul Kjaerholm's modest, minimalist yet elegant style and his ability to work with refined materials. This sofa has retained a perfect patina with some signs of age and use. It bears the original stamp of E. Kold Christensen on the lower beam. The sofa has the original leather and cushions, the cushion lining appears to have been renewed in the past. The seat rests on a matte steel frame, characteristic of Kjaerholm who used steel frames more often in his designs instead of the traditional wood. The sofa is in very good condition and offers great seating comfort. It will last for many years and provide you with great comfort. W 138 x H 76 x D 76 CM. Seat H 38 cm
