A beautiful leather pouf designed by Angel Pazmino and manufactured in Ecuador around 1960. The patchwork leather upholstery of this pouf is well made and has a nice, deep brown colour. The eye-catching feature of this rare pouf is the Mayan patterns and images that are carved into the leather. This is iconic for the style of Pazmino and makes this lovely item a real eye-catcher A wonderful find that remains in good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.

Angel Pazmino was an Ecuadorian designer born in 1930 and died in 2019. He is known for his wooden furniture design work and for contributing to the development of the furniture industry in Ecuador in the 1950s and 1960s.
