About this vintage design furniture
Beautiful sommerso glass vase designed by Flavio Poli and manufactured by Seguso (Murano, Italy) in the 1960s. This extremely decorative vase is made of thick blue, orange and clear glass. "Sommerso" is a technique developed in Murano in the 1930s which was very popular in the 1950s-70s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is commonly cased by a clear layer. Measurements: height: 19 cm; width (largest point): 8 cm; depth (largest point): 6 cm. Weight: 0,6 kg. Excellent vintage condition.

Flavio Poli (1900-1984) was a renowned Italian designer, known for his work in glass. Born in Chioggia, near Venice, Poli studied at the Institute of Applied Arts in Venice, where he developed a passion for blown glass.
