Large oil painting by Theo van der Horst. Made in 1991.Theo van der Horst (1921-2003 Arnhem, The Netherlands) was an expressionist painter with a great sense of color. He was inspired by pre-war Flemish expressionists such as Constant Permeke and Gustave de Smet and was fascinated by painting people in all their circumstances.Van der Horst won several awards in Belgium and abroad and exhibited in galleries and museums throughout Europe.
