About this vintage design furniture
Rare Perfolux wall lamp designed by Niek Hiemstra at Hiemstra Evolux around 1955. The perforated shade creates a beautiful light effect. Hiemstra Evolux patented the Perfolux lamps in the 1950s. This lamp has all the characteristics of Hiemstra's Perfolux lamps. The name Perfolux also appeared in Paris in the 1950's and was associated with Mathieu Matégot.This lamp is in good vintage condition with normal signs of use and wear. The lamp has been cleaned and the original wiring has been checked and cleaned by an electrician. Color: Red, gray and white.

About the designer
Niek Hiemstra
Niek Hiemstra is a Dutch designer born in 1960. He studied product design at the Groningen Academy of Fine Arts in the Netherlands, graduating in 1984. After working for a few years as a freelance designer, Hiemstra joined the Gispen product design company in 1988.
