About this vintage design furniture
Mid century ceramic wall clock that is more than likely a one-off creation made by hand (unsigned). The design is highly imaginative and rather quirky. The hollow, slightly domed ceramic body is decorated in a bright yellow crackle glaze. The hours are marked by little holes with brass edging around the periphery of the clock face. The hands of the clock add the finishing quirky touch: a time chasing hen and rooster. The smaller hand features a black hen whilst the larger hand shows a red rooster. This clock was serviced by an horologist who put in a battery operated mechanism. Ceramic body is in excellent vintage condition. No chips or cracks. In good working order. Dimensions: H: 21cm x W: 22cm x D: 5cm
