About this vintage design furniture

An exceptional set of two armchairs designed by Aksel Bender Madsen and manufactured by Bovenkamp in the Netherlands circa 1950.The set includes one high-backed "lady" chair and one low-backed chair. Both chairs are upholstered in a high quality Kvadrat fabric in a beautiful gray color with black seat cushions and a black neck cushion. The base is made of oak wood with teak arms, giving it a luxurious finish. Lennart Bender is a Swedish industrial designer born in Stockholm in 1949. He studied at the Konstfack School of Applied Arts in Stockholm, graduating in Industrial Design in 1975.
