Set of 6 vintage Italian mahogany chairs, 1950s

Six Italian chairs datable between the 50s and 60s. Slender and pointed structure, but also solid; made of mahogany wood. The sinuous line of the design recalls the productions of Vittorio Dassi’s period, which often drew inspiration from naturalistic themes such as leaves or animals. In fact, the shape of the backrest recalls the leaves of strelitzia. The padding of the seat is sprung and the upholstery, original of the period, a cherry red velvet surrounded by a small band of embroidered trimmings.
