About this vintage design furniture
This large-version executive 'Jet' desk was designed by Ernst Igl and was produced by Bayer AG in Germany during the early 1970s. For the time, the materials used were very high-tech; the piece features black molded polyurethane, and the interior of drawers is made from grey plastic. Good vintage condition.

Ernst IGL
Ernst Igl (1904-1997) was a German industrial designer known for his contributions to car and motorcycle design. He began his career as an apprentice in his father's machine-building workshop, before going on to study industrial design at the Munich School of Arts and Crafts.
