He was a Swedish artist. He grew up in Mariestad and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in 1945-1949, at the Free Academy of Stockholm in 1950-1951 and at the Academy of Fine Arts in 1951-1956. He is famous not only for his graphic design, but also for some fifty public decorations made of various materials. Through concrete art where curves and rectilinear forms alternate, Fogelquist moves towards abstract expressionism. His paintings are characterized by rapid movements, a surprising imagination and an intense play of colors. One of his most interesting monumental works is a mural in the machine hall of the former Svenska Tobaks AB in Malmö.Van Gelder Papier was a paper manufacturer with a history dating back to 1685. The company was based in Wormer, the Netherlands. This type of handmade paper is famous - especially in France - Hollandde paper with the watermark Van Gelder Zonen.Original vintage condition
