About this vintage design furniture
Beautiful sideboard designed by Jos De Mey, manufactured by Luxus Kortrijk in the 50's. As De Mey only designed for Luxus in the 1950s, his designs for this company are harder to find. I have only found a few sideboards in the last 20 years, each unique in its design and use of materials. This sideboard is made entirely of a beautiful patterned wood. It has 4 exterior drawers and 2 sliding doors, each detailed with a brass door handle. Thanks to the many wooden details, the sideboard has a classic look full of character and atmosphere. This sideboard was featured in La Maison, a Belgian magazine about architecture and interior design, published from the mid 1940s to the end of the 1960s.
