Vintage industrial table or wall lamp by Pokrok, Czechoslovakia 1950
About this vintage design furniture
This rare industrial lamp is part of a long and unique tradition. It was produced by the Pokrok company in Czechoslovakia. Its design is quite simple, but very important. This lamp is one of the first models to use bent black wire as a construction material. The lamp shade has a wire that wraps around the bulb and holds it in place. This is all very simple and innovative for the time. The shield is made of a formica cone that is decorated with a beige string. The lamp can be used as a table lamp or a wall lamp. Fully functional, works with a single bulb, European plug.
