Danish Hornslet Møbelfabrik Cabinet A beautifully designed & crafted tambour cabinet by Hornslet Møbelfabrik of Denmark. Hornslet Møbelfabrik worked with designers Niels Koefoed & Kofod Larsen, and influences from these designers can be found in this item. The unit has minimal clean lines, it is raised on a ebonised plinth and features two roller tambour doors. The rosewood has a beautiful grain. Stamped with the makers mark and ’Made in Denmark’ to the rear. Circa 1960s. Dimensions (cm): 120 W x 59 H x 55 D Condition: Overall good vintage condition. Some signs of use can be found, with nothing too apparent to strike the eye.

About the designer
Kofod LARSEN
Kofod Larsen was a Danish furniture designer born in 1921 and died in 1991. He began his career as an apprentice cabinetmaker and later studied at the Copenhagen School of Arts and Crafts. He worked for several renowned design companies in Europe before founding his own design firm in 1950.
