About this vintage design furniture
Kofod Larsen Cabinet 1960s teak cabinet or small sideboard, designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen and sold through Grange. Made in Great Britain by a Danish designer. The cabinet features two doors with original pull handles and internal shelving. Ib Kofod-Larsen was a popular furniture designer in Britain and Denmark. He was renowned for his work for G-Plan, the designer became famous during the 50s and the 60s. Kofod-Larsen was born in Denmark in 1921. A talented designer who graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Denmark, developing an interest in furniture design using rosewood and teak. Blessed with a visionary approach during a visit to Denmark in 1958, Queen Elizabeth II bought several pieces of furniture. Nowadays, the cabinets and sideboards created by lb Kofod-Larsen are rare and desired pieces. Two available Dimensions: 70 cm height x 46 cm depth x 102 cm width Condition: Very good - some minor markings as seen in the photographs.

About the designer
Kofod LARSEN
Kofod Larsen was a Danish furniture designer born in 1921 and died in 1991. He began his career as an apprentice cabinetmaker and later studied at the Copenhagen School of Arts and Crafts. He worked for several renowned design companies in Europe before founding his own design firm in 1950.
