About this vintage design furniture
An Art Deco cabinet produced in the 1930s. The piece consists of a composition of two open shelves and a small cabinet positioned at different heights. The balance between these forms, together with the dazzling pattern of the walnut veneer makes this piece an exceptional example of the sophistication of furniture design in that era. The designer or producer of the piece is unknown. However the quality of the materials, the perfect attention to every detail and the overall craftsmanship of the whole piece indicates that it is likely to be one of the leading manufacturers of the time. This set is in great vintage condition. Recent restoration has fully revived the extremely rich colour of the entire piece, showing off the beautiful patterns on all surfaces. The entire piece has been hand finished by Shellac and Nitro varnishes in order to achieve a greater gloss finish.
