About this vintage design furniture
Stunning Art Deco ’Blue’ living room suite designed by Eliel Saarinen in 1929 for his wife’s studio in Cranbrook. The fabric used in the upholstery was designed by Josef Hoffmann. This suite is from limited production in 1983 by Adelta Oy, Finland. The chairs and settee have a serial number label. The suite is in excellent condition with only minor signs of use and some cosmetic repairs. Though some man now know him only as the father of Eero Saarinen, Gottlieb Eliel Saarinen (1873 - 1950) was a Finnish-American architect known for his work with Art Nouveau buildings in the early years of the 20th century.
