About this vintage design furniture
This set of leather swivel chair with a black steel base and leather tabouret was produced by Drevotvar Pardubice furniture factory in former Czechoslovakia in the 1970’s. The elegant shape and proportions of this swivel armchair were clearly inspired by the Scandinavian furniture design of the time. Especially the “sharply shaped’‘ armrests give the whole piece a very dynamic and expressive look. The burgundy leather on the other hand is an archetype of the 1970s luxury, and mostly used in prestigious Hotel lounges or Airport VIP suites. The armchair is very comfortable and enjoyable to sit on, and it’s design fits perfectly into both a modern or more traditional interior. Both armchairs and tabouret are in very good original condition with slight wear on some parts of the leather and the steel frame.
